This training module details marketing options available for individual farms in order to build the viable and efficient farm marketing strategy. Marketing module and trainings are especially dedicated to farmers who produce and sell directly their final products to consumers. The module objectives are: 1) to understand the relevance and the efficiency of marketing as a management concept in agriculture; 2) to understand the practical application of strategic and operational marketing in an agriculture business; 3) reflect and train on the application of marketing by practical examples.
The module covers the following aspects of the marketing plan: short introduction about the theory of marketing; marketing’s concepts; strategic marketing (methods of analysis, marketing objectives) and operational marketing (strategies and marketing instruments). The module consist of the PPT presentation which contains: theory with practical examples from the farming sector, exercises and self-evaluation tests for participants. Additionally some hints are placed for the trainers (in the slide footnotes).
